The Oversize Tire Carrier makes it possible to put those extra large spare tires safely on your tailgate. Plus, your tailgate still functions as normal ! Offer the convenience of a tailgate-mount with the big-tire capacity of a swing-away. Accommodates a tire up to 35" (37" for 2007+ vehicles) and 200 lbs. Carrier and tailgate open and close as a single unit. Adjustable arm eliminates tailgate sag. Drilling and assembly required.The Bestop Oversize Tire Carrier utilizes load-bearing mounting brackets which bolt to the strong sub-structure of the Jeep while a second set of non-load-bearing brackets attaches to the tailgate. These, along with a unique articulating mechanism, make the tailgate and the tire carrier open and close as a single unit and give it a hefty load rating of 200 pounds.
